Family Therapy - Parenting
Family Therapy - Parenting

Family patterns tend to perpetuate themselves over generations. Since parents typically use parenting strategies and models of behavior learned in their families of origin, they often become trapped in negative patterns that lead to disharmony and family tension.

At these critical junctures, participating in parenting education or family therapy with a skilled therapist can help parents and their children learn more positive ways to behave and communicate.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have extensive training and experience in marriage and family therapy, as well as parenting and co-parenting education. I also provide counseling for adults, teens, couples, families and blended families, i.e. step families.

I previously served as the Clinic Coordinator of the Family Therapy Training Center of Colorado, and have taught court-approved co-parenting seminars in Boulder County.

In addition to being a family therapist, teen counselor and psychotherapist in private practice since 1990, I have also taught in the Contemplative Psychotherapy program at Naropa University.
